What's In The Freezer ("the App") is operated by Sarafina Midzik. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address to create and manage your account.
Food inventory data: Items you add to your inventory, including names, quantities, categories, and expiration dates. This data is stored in your household and shared only with household members you invite.
Photos: If you use the photo feature to add items, photos are uploaded to our servers for AI analysis and stored so you can view them later. Photos are only accessible to members of your household.
Your data is used solely to provide the App's features: tracking your food inventory, estimating shelf life, generating meal suggestions, and sharing inventory with your household members. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase's servers.
Anthropic: When you use AI features (photo recognition, shelf life estimation, meal suggestions), text descriptions and photos are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's usage policy applies to this data.
Vercel: The App is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure.
Your food inventory is shared with members of your household. You control who joins your household through invite links. We do not share your personal data with anyone else except as described in Third-Party Services above.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies on our database, and secure authentication through Supabase Auth.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
